HISTORY

Epic Artworks is located in British Columbia, Canada and was founded in 2004 by artist Jordan Stasuk.

Jordan has been an artist since he was young, painting murals in childrens' rooms at the age of 13. Heavily influenced by comic books, animation and the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, he spent high school constantly sketching in the margins of his textbooks. Upon graduating, he spent 2 years studying Art History at Capilano College & marvelling at the works of such artists as Boticelli, DaVinci & Michelangelo, and after his time in College he enrolled at the Vancouver Film School & spent another 2 years studying Classical Animation, where he had the privelege of being mentored by Frank Gladstone, the Head of Artistic Development for DreamWorks Pictures. After Film School he decided to take a break from art and took courses at the British Columbia Institute of Technology studying Non-Destructive Testing (as far from art as you can get, but a great way to travel the world & work on somebody else's budget). He also apprenticed for a year as an Airbrush Artist at the largest & most successful custom motorcycle paint shop in Vancouver. Professionally, Jordan has worked as a Mural Painter, a Temporary Tattoo Artist, a Digital Painter on a saturday morning cartoon & a feature animated movie, an Airbrush Artist, and a Graphic Designer. Currently, Jordan works during the day for Epic Artworks & at night he works the late shift as an Industrial X-Ray Technician. When he isn't working he likes to travel, attend art shows & make the most of a day off.
